It is pretty unlikely that you have an eye infection. It is more likely that you have a reaction to something in your contact lens care regimen. You may need to switch solutions or kind of contacts again. If the B&L lenses you were wearing were Pure Vision, you probably need to switch to a kind that is not silicon hydrogel. Your eye doctor is the best source of options in either case.
She was talking about Clear Care. I am surprised she didn't give you a starter kit. The company is very generous with them (at least to me). It can be a little expensive to buy if you are not sure it will help. If you pick up some on your own, make sure you read and follow the instructions exactly. You need both the solution and the case.
You have an infection. Wearing contacts while you still have an infection has been making it worse.
Stop wearing them. After about a fortnight get your eyes checked to see what damage you've done.
Don't EVER wear lenses with an infection, red eye, irritation etc. You need to review lens type, solution, wearing schedule, hygeine, everything.
If you were my patient I'd probably stop you wearing them for a significant period, say 6 months, then start from scratch.
I'm a dispensing optician. And common sense says don't wear lenses when you have an infection.
