Not seeing the board from the back of the classroom is the normal sign that you are near sighted and need glasses. The headaches might be the same thing but they might be a sign of eye strain caused by overusing teh computer screens. they don't damage your eyesight permanently but can cause headaches. Make sure you have the screen adjusted properly and the light ( loads of stuff on answers about this) and make sure you drink enough water. Main cause of headaches for computer professionals is not drinking enough whilst working on screens.

Now with your mum, I suggest you say a couple of times when you aer speaking to her that you are having problems seeing the board. Try this when she isn't too busy and looks like she's listening to you. She will probably pick up on this and suggest an eye test. If she doesn't then you need to more direct and tell her that you really can't see the board and its affecting your school work. You could be direct to start off with , but its quite usual for people not to want to tell their mum direct for some reason. I didn't tell mine although I have no idea why now, this is the sort of thing that mums want you to tell them.

The headaches at your computer or when you reading a book aren't because you need glasses and besides if you did get glasses for seeing the board your headaches wouldn't go away. When you look at a book or a computer screen and you see it blurry (not headaches, that usually means the light on is too bright or something like your holding it too far away to see so you strain to see it) that is called being far-sighted, because you can only see far away. if you cant see the board, that means your near-sighted. Also, try asking your teacher if you can sit in the middle. Remember, our eyes aren't perfect. We can't see that far in front of us nor too close to our eyes. If that doesn't help, tell your mom that you can't see the board because it's blurry. She might consider glasses. As for you headaches try adjusting the light levels on you computer or whatever either higher or lower. It is very unlikely for someone so young to need bifocals without ever having any glasses or anything in their life. Good luck!

Had glasses for... a long time lol

from what you said, i think u prob do...
does anyone else in your family wear glasses? if so then maybe its genetic or summing so it'd be more likely that you need them too
just ask your mum if you can go to the opticians to have your eyes tested because you find it hard to see the board at school...she really wont mind and its better to have it checked out before it gets worse, right?

help me with mine..?

i needed glasses when i was little :)

Those are classic signs of needing corrective lenses. I found out in 7th grade that I needed glasses when my math teacher assigned us seats and mine was in the back of the room. Suddenly I couldn't see the board anymore!

Just tell your mom that you're having trouble seeing the board in class and you want to see an eye doctor. Not exactly a difficult conversation.

i use to get headaches all the time when i would read or get on the computer or play games and some things far away we're blurry , so i told my mom i have headaches ever time i read or get on the computer and she set me up an eye appointment =D

I would resist getting glasses and look at natural ways to strengthen your eye site. This post may be interesting for you.
