I got something in my eye this morning that I think was deodorant. What should I!
Question: I got something in my eye this morning that I think was deodorant. What should I do?
So this morning, I rubbed my eye a little because it itched, and suddenly it started to really burn. I'm not 100% sure why, but I had just used deodorant a few seconds earlier and I must have somehow gotten some on my fingers or hands without realizing and rubbed a little bit in my eye. After a few minutes it stopped burning, and I washed my eye out with water. It doesn't hurt anymore, but all day, my vision in that eye has been a little blurry. So does that mean the stuff is still in it? I've tried washing it out again but that hasn't really helped. so what should I do?

The chemicals in deodorants can definitely irritate the eyes but you should have no lasting damage. And just think -- you'll have the freshest smelling eyes in town.
Me. I am an optometric physician.
if its irritated, rinse it thoroughly with water. If it comes back ,call a physician.
give it another good rinse and wait till tomorrow if its not better talk to your doctor
