if your Rx is 20/60, what prescription is that? do i need glasses?!

Question: If your Rx is 20/60, what prescription is that? do i need glasses?
i took an online eye exam and where i couldn't read the letters, they got blurry, when i pressed stop it said 20/60. do i need glasses? what prescription would that be?
thanks.

Answers:

20/60 is your visual acuity , not your Rx

It's impossible to tell the prescription just by knowing the visual acuity.

An actual eye exam has to be done to determine that.

If the test was any where near accurate...then yes, you need glasses.

You aren't legal to drive without them if you actually have a visual acuity of 20/60

Yes- especially if you are going to drive- you need to have 20/40 vision or better to be able to drive.
You can't find out your Rx (prescription) using visual acuity (eg 20/60) alone- you need to have an eye examination to find out your Rx.
