Is It Common for PRK Patients to have Halo/Star burst Vision at Night?!
Question: Is It Common for PRK Patients to have Halo/Star burst Vision at Night?
A little over a year ago I had PRK corrective surgery. The surgery had really made an extremely positive impact on my vision I went to 20/400(Terrible) in both eyes to 20/20 now the surgery was really amazing and i suggest it to anyone who is considering it.However the only minor issue i have been experiencing since my surgery is a Halo and Star burst around lights off in the distance at night time only,Over time they have really reduced to what they once were but are still there. I noticed if i hold a light near my eyes while i focus on the distance light then the halo and star bursting goes away and i see the light perfectly.... Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if any professionals know what this is caused by.

It's one of the aberrations of the surgery - one of the side effects that could occur. It sounds like you have a very small side effect and you are able to function well. There could be a relatively simple procedure available in some cases that can help clear this but many times it is a permanent condition. See an ophthalmologist to get his or her opinion.
