It doesn't really feel like anything. It's a little bit cold at first, but that goes away almost instantly. A lot of people have problems getting contacts in when they first start. try to get just the middle of the contact to stick to the tip of your finger, spread your eye lids apart and just touch it to your eye. it should come right off of your finger and stay in your eye.
No, contacts do not feel like a hair in your eye. They don't really feel like anything, nor do you get a moment of darkness. When you first start wearing contacts, you do have to build up to wearing them all day, so after the first few hours, your eyes will feel a little dry and irritated, but after a week or two that wears off.
Be sure to always wash your hands before putting in or removing your contacts, and to clean them as directed by your doctor.
It takes a certain amount of practice to master the art of inserting contact lenses.
If your lenses are clean and reasonably hydrated, they won't feel uncomfortable.
No, you won't see darkness. Your contacts might be a little uncomfortable at first,
but if you can stay calm and (pardon the expression) focused, you'll find the effort
is worth it.
And if that's not enough, handling contact lenses is great for your fine motor skills.
Just don't be afraid.

Well the first time ever it takes forever to put them in and when you put them in they will sting your eye for 5 seconds it will only make you tear and then it feels not comfortable but you can get to the hang of this and it will feel better every time until your contacts expire so take good care of them and disinfect them 3 times a week so it does not cause eye infections but that can be easily ignored so don't worry to much and No it wont sting after it will feel so comfortable but make sure you get a good brand not fake contacts so watch out hope you like this answer :)

The first time its just like an eyedrop hitting your eye and feels about the same. Then you are aware of the lens being in your eye for 1/2 hour or so, just as something you know is there. No darkness at all. Old fashioned lenses were like having hair in your eyes only a lot worse, but modern soft lenses its just like a gentle splash of an eyedrop. Nothing more to it. If it feels like the hair does then something is wrong - you've got a hair or something on the lense and you need to take it out.
Don't be afraid although I know its tricky. If you do have problems practicing by the way there are lots of answers on how to put lenses in. Does take practice.
