How expensive are contacts in comparison to eyeglasses?!

Question: How expensive are contacts in comparison to eyeglasses?
Answers:

Contacts are a continual expense. Every 3 or 6 months a new supply has to be bought which can run maybe $30.00 a box,( 2 boxes last 3 months ) or $120.00 for 6 months, + $10 or $12.00 every 2nd month for solutions to clean and store them.

It really depends on how much the frames are that you're wanting to buy and how bad your eyesight is. My contacts are much less expensive than my glasses, mainly due to my bad eyesight (a -12.00). I have to get high index lenses, and the price is probably triple of what regular lenses would be.

Well if you go online, you can get glasses for pretty cheap. Check out lens prices at www.replacementlensexpress.com. Single vision starts at $25 and, although they don't show a wide frame selection online, you can just e-mail them and ask about a specific frame and they will sell it to you for wholesale.

Don't know much about contacts myself; sorry. But it's probably good to have a spare pair of glasses even if you have contacts.

If you don't pick expensive fashion frame, contact lenses should be slightly more expensive and needs more time to baby-sit them.

They're about the same price as a pair of glasses with bifocals.

Grandpa. Grandma wears contacts.
