Is this OCD? If so, do I need "Help"?!
Question: Is this OCD? If so, do I need "Help"?
Also, I think I have Mysophobia (Germophobia). I can eat food without washing my hands just fine, only if I make it and know where I got it from. But I almost refuse anything anyone one else makes for me if their not wearing gloves. Is this a problem? (By the way, Im only 15 if it changes any answers. This has been going on for years. Both the OCD and the Mysophobia)

Yes, what you are describing certainly sounds like it could be OCD, What differentiates a neat-freak from someone with OCD is when the compulsion starts to interfere with your life and make you miserable. It sounds like it is seriously interfering with your schooling, which can affect the rest of your life. I absolutely think you should get professional help from a mental health practitioner, and soon, before it is too late to fix your academic record.
I wish you all the best!

Well a good friend of mine has OCD pretty bad and those are some strong symptoms, especially rewriting your name up to 25 times. If you also find yourself tapping your fingertips on things until it feels right, then I would say you should definitely see someone about it. As it is now, it's very likely.
The germophobia is something I'm not as familiar with, but it does seem likely as well. Though, only a professional can really say if you have those conditions or not. I personally would advise it.
PLease don't try diagnose yourself. You aren't trained to do it and there aren't dependable websites out there that can accurately do it.
You need to go to a therapist, tell them everything. They can look at your medical files, run tests (if they have to) and examine you. Then they can diagnose you.
We can't.
