Green laser pointer in eye (only for a second)?!

Question: Green laser pointer in eye (only for a second)!?
today someone shown a green laser pointer in my eye!.!. I was walking down the hall and in the gym someone on the other side was shining the thing (through the door window) and it got my eye for a second!. I saw a bright flash and knew what it was because I have always been scared of them!. I quickly turned away and looked back to see if they were still shining it and it got my eye one more time- I turned as soon as it got me!. So it was probably about a second in total I was shone in the eye with the pointer!. Then, i went to beat the kid up and he insisted it wasnt him, and said here ill shine it at the kids who did it to you, so he shined it back through the door window at the seniors who took it from him and I was looking at the laser for a few more seconds, but not directly in my eye - i saw the reflection off the glass

anyways, i am a very nervous person and am freaking out right now!.!. I asked the kid how strong the pointer was (it was fairly big) and he said at night it can reach the clouds!. Once again that freaked me out again

I am not seeing any black spots or no noticeable damage to vision but could the effects of this hurt my eyes in the long term!? Has any damage been done!? could i sue!? will i be ok!? thanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
As per e-mail!.!.!.
Very unlikely unless you actually focussed on it!.
Damage is just possible, but even there there's very unlikely to be any remedial treatment!.

"!.!.!.noticed as a slight defect in the image of that eye!.!. "

As a tiny "patch" of poor vision or distortion in one location/direction!. compared to your straight-ahead sight, not as a general worsening of the vision!.
More equivalent to a local scratch on a car windscreen than a greasy smear affecting the whole thing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think so :\
As long as you can see fine now, it's ok!.
To damage your eye it'd probably have to be
in there for like 30seconds or more!.
You have nothing to worry aboutWww@Answer-Health@Com

Green ones are fine, they're not an actual laser!.

It's the red ones that can do damage to your eye, so you'll be fine!.

I hope this helped!Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you do it too long it can affect your corneas and do permanent damageWww@Answer-Health@Com
