Blood pressure can tell a whole lot, and if its way to high its a sign that something may be very wrong, which is why they do it (also i'm not positive, but i think that high blood pressure is a symptom of Glaucoma, so thats an example of when they would use it at the eye doc)
But anyways, my blood pressure is always a bit higher than normal bc i really cannot stand doctors! lol so i can symapthize with ya over thereWww@Answer-Health@Com

the eye doctor SHOULD take a blood pressure every time you visit, blood pressure is a major component of eye health!.!.!. and while being nervous can raise blood pressure a little, it cannot make it "super high", you need to follow up with your gp!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Eye doctors ARE a part of over all health care!. Blood pressure problems and the meds that treat them can cause visual difficulties!. Blood PRessure checks are a reasonable part of an eye exam for those reasons!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's weird!.
Idk why they took it!.
Last time I checked, the eye doctor
was for your eyes!. Not your health!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Some dentists do that as well!. It's a way to spot problems before they become serious!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
