Question: Can having bangs/hair in your face cause a stye (on your eyelid)!?
Will the oils in hair cause infections or something on the eyelid and cause a stye or chalazion to form if you have bangs in your eyes or hair in your face a lot!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hmm, not particularly but its not out of this world impossible!. Generally a stye is caused by an infection of the sebaceous/oil gland located in the upper and lower lids!. This can be caused just as easily by improper lid hygiene!. The oils in your hair don't necessarily cause the infection yeah!? To prevent further styes, consider washing your eyes thoroughly with warm soapy water twice a day, you can also do something called hot fomentation where you get some warm water and place it over your eyelids and then gently move the cloth upwards so as to express the oils from the lids!. So in a gentle upward motion for the lower lid and a gentle downward motion for the upper lid!. Hope this helps you!. Good luck to ya:)Www@Answer-Health@Com
