How can I fix broken eyeglass frames?!
Question: How can I fix broken eyeglass frames!?
They've snapped right in half!. I could solder it back together, but I don't know if the solder would stick to the material of the frames well enough!.

The solder you'll find in stores is way too soft to use to solder them back together!. There's an optical/jewelry solder called Pallarium that you can buy online that is a super hard, very high temp solder!.!.!.which also means you'll need a torch to melt it, not just a solder gun!. Its not cheap!.!.!.runs about $50 a pack of 12 small sticks!.!.!.but it lasts a long time!. There's places online and often locally that fix glasses for small fees (or big fees, depending on where you live)!. Many times its just better to buy a new frame and have the lenses removed from the broken one and put into the new one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I've been there before and feel for you!. Unfortunately I don't have a good suggestion, but I do have experience with trying to solder them with electrical solder!. My frames were metal and required me to sand off the finish around the repair for the solder to stick!. I found the solder to be too malleable (soft) to make a lasting repair!. I think that it could work if you used a harder type of solder, like a metalworker or jewelers use!.

It is very difficult to repair broken frames yourself!. Ask your optometrist if there is a company in your town that repairs frames and price them out!. They usually cost about 20-40 dollars and they do a pretty good job!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
take it back to the place you got the frame!. they may be under a warranty!.!. if not!. ask a jeweler!.!. they're more likely to solder it since they arent going to try to sell you glasses!.!. keep in mind its not likely a permanent fix!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
