Question: My Eye degrees is 400, HELP ME!?
So my eye degreee is 400 and im 12 !. I use the computer everyday for about 3-4 hrs!. Im afraid when i get to 20 i will be blind!. And also i have to use the computer to do homework!. Laser Eye surgery!? Contacts!?

I'm at about 400 too and around your age!. I know people who are worse, so don't worry!. Just don't go on the computer everyday for 3-4 hours!. I've cut down my computer time to about 2 hours max everyday (due to school and stuff)!. Also, try to eat vegetables (I heard carrots are very good)!. Anything with vitamin A will help you!. Take a 5 minute break for every 30 minutes of TV or reading you do!. I'm sure you will be fine (I know someone who is at 650 and only 17)!.
However, there is the Laser Treatment but I do believe that's only if you are over 21 years old or something near that!. I got contacts and I love them!. Glasses make your pupils smaller but contacts feel good and they look great too!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sarah Lee: In many Asian countries they use degrees instead of dioptres where 100 degrees equals 1 dioptre!.
No one ever goes blind from needing glasses -- disease and trauma cause blindness!. Using the computer does not cause myopia!. No pills, foods, supplements, exercises, etc will help prevent needing glasses!.
If you don't like wearing glasses you can get contacts!. You will have to wait until you are 21 to have laser eye surgery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is no such thing as "eye degrees!." I assume you mean your prescription is (+ or -) 4!.00 diopters!.
Computers do not make your vision worse!. They may cause eyestrain or headaches, but that's about it!. To avoid these, take breaks, keep your eyes lubricated, have sufficient room lighting, and have your screen at least arm's length away!.
I don't know why you think you will be blind!.

At that time you must be evaluated by an eye doctor to make sure you are a good candidate for the surgery!. Contacts should be an option for you now if your doctor approves!.
