Do I need to show my prescription when buying prescription glasses?!
Question: Do I need to show my prescription when buying prescription glasses!?
I know it sounds redundant but this is the story: I'm from Peru and got prescription glasses there a couple of months ago!. My glasses broke last week and I my ophthalmologist emailed me my prescription and the numbers!. Would it be possible to go into a store with this measurements and get another pair!? It's been only a few months ago so I'm sure my numbers remain the same!.
What can I do!?!?
Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It depends on the optometrist, but legally, he should not be dispensing eye correction without a prescription on file!.
If your ophthalmologist emailed you a picture of his prescription pad or stationary with the prescription, your fine!. If it was just a email with numbers, you could have a problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ask if the store will accept a faxed prescription from your ophthalmologist in Peru!.
