What are the symptoms of retina damage?!
Question: What are the symptoms of retina damage!?
how do you know if you have a retina problemWww@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
Very often you wouldn't!.
Unless the macular region or nearby retina is affected, there can be significant retinal damage without any noticed visual problem at all!.
Retinal damage issues at or near the macula generally cause visual disturbance: poor vision, or "jack in the box" vision with words appearing and disappearing!.
And peripheral retinal detachments may be noticed early with floaters, flashes of light and "shadows" in the peripheral vision!.
But I have long lost count of the number of people I have seen with retinal haemorrhages, old choroditis, coloboma, and retinoschisis
who reported no symptoms at all!.
And even quite large detachments that were seemingly asymptomatic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A detached retina occurs when the retina is pulled away from its normal position in the eye!. The retina sends visual images to the brain through the optic nerve!. It is important to understand how to identify symptoms of a detached retina and have the condition treated quickly because it almost always causes blindness if left untreated!.
Step 1
Recognize that blurred vision is a common sign of a detached retina!. When the retina is detached, the brain does not receive clear visual images!.
Step2
Look for spots that are small, cloudy specks in the eye that become noticeable when they occur in your line of sight!. This symptom should be taken seriously, especially when you also see floaters or flashes of light!.
Step3
Learn that floaters can be a sign of a detached retina!. A floater is a dark or gray spot that passes across your field of vision and moves with your eye!. Floaters may look like clouds, strands, webs, spots, wavy lines or other shapes, and they can be potentially dangerous signs when combined with spots and flashes of light!.
Step4
Look for flashes of light!. These usually occur in your peripheral field of vision!. This could be a sign of retinal detachment, especially if you have other symptoms, such as seeing spots and floaters!.
Step5
Understand that poor vision may also be a symptom of retinal detachment!. Your vision may not be blurry, but you may notice your eyesight is weaker than normal!.
Step6
Look for a shadow or curtain that will come from the top or side of the eye!. This could signal a problem with retinal detachment!.
