Does sleeping with the lights on or with dimmed lights would affect my vision?!

Question: It is best to sleep with the lights off. It is not a vision issue, but a hormone issue. Brain hormones adjust to light and effect sleep. If you sleep on your back though it might be better for your eyes to sleep with the lights off, if sleeping that way results in your eyes facing the lights dirrectly. Dim light may be fine; less light enters closed eyes than open eyes, and on waking you may have less of a shock as your eyes adjust to change in light.

no, why would it?

no your eyes are closed.
i worry about you....

It will affect your quality of sleep

No, but it effects quality of sleep.

I did hear that it doesn't let your eyes rest properly but i don't think it does permanent damage.

NO

it affects how you sleep, not your vision.

probably not because your eyes are closed, but it aint good for the environment!!!

Dimm lights are better for sleeping i think..........if you should wake up in the nights?

No, not at all.

it wont do as your eyes are closed. It may take a while to get to sleep but ull b fine. my bruv sleeps wiv lights dimmed nd sum1 turns em off wen hes asleep.

It shouldn't damage your eyes but it increases the loss of sleep that you wish to gain..

if want the lights on, get a nightlight or two, but I don't see why anyone needs them anymore...

No. But u would never go into a deeeep sleeeep. And that is what u really need. I watched this VERY interesting show on T.V. about sleeping and it said if u sleep with the light on, u never get into a deep sleep, you just stay on the surface. And if u dont get that, then your entire system would go down, including your immunity system. (The system that protects u from viruses and colds). AND believe it or not, people who don't get enough deep sleep become diabetic AND obese, because when u dont get the stated dose of sleep u eat and eat way more which later leads to obeseity. So long story short, (lol) don't sleep with the lights on if u really want to keep up a healthy routine. But No, It will NOT affect your vision.

Hope I helped. :]].

Reading with the lights dimmed does hurt your vision.

Not unless you sleep with your eyes open. Thats why the good Lord gave you eye lids silly!

Insha'llah
I don't think so, but I'm not an expert on these things. You might want to ask an eye doctor, or a regular doctor or nurse.
