Is Lasik Eye Surgery Safe?!
Question: I am 28 years old, i have been wearing glasses for the past 10 years. My eye sight isn't that bad at all, i have prescription glasses but its like one of the lowest ones a person can get. How does Lasik Surgery work? Is it painful? Have you had the surgery? if so, what was the outcome? thanks

I had the surgery, it doesn't hurt, and it takes about 15 to 20 minutes, I had severe astigmatism, I had the surgery 1 year ago, my vision is now better than 20/20, I do believe the the surgery is safe though I really don't know, or never heard of any problems. After you have had the surgery, you vision is fine almost immediately within 24 hours. Go and talk to an eye doctor and ask his opinion, also check around regarding the cost, prices for the surgery can differ depending on the doctor.
My husband had it, no regrets. Although all the surgeons at the practice (all specialized in lasik) wore glasses.
How safe do you want it?
Nothing's perfectly safe: driving a car isn't but most people accept that risk, or ignore it.
The FDA Lasik pages will give you good basic information on the techniques, and the pros and cons.
I've not had the surgery, but I've seen a lot of people who have. The vast majority were happy to very happy, and a few were unhappy to literally in tears.
Lasik, (there are other laser refractive surgery techniques, such as lasek) does not tend to be very painful at all at the operation, or immediately afterwards.

Yes, it is not pain at all. The corena surface is being treated. Excellent outcome.
