Will I need to get prescription glasses?!
Question: For years I have never needed glasses to read. Then I got a computer and a job, (ten years ago), where I sat behind a computer all day and night. (The night stuff was my idea). Then 3 and a half years ago I found supermarket "cheaters" helped me read. Will it ever come to the place, where I will have to get prescription glasses, doc?

At around 40 years old people start losing the ability to focus up close. It is called presbyopia. If the supermarket glasses work for you, that is fine.
If you have not seen an eye doctor in the past 2 years or longer, it would be a good idea to see one. There are conditions that can only be found with a professional exam. Even if the doctor recommends an eyeglass prescription, you have the right not to follow it and stay with the store bought glasses
