How does a person get their spectacles fitted if bought on "line"?!
Question: I hear of a "wizz kid" selling specs' on line at a tenth of the normal cost's but how do you try the frames on prior to buying?? It's an inexact business already in an opticians shop!

That's precisely the chance you have to take by buying online.
The customer, with no experience in the field at all, has to choose the right size for themselves. On stronger Rx's, the frame choice is very important, but people with no training can go ahead and order what they want. So, the chances that anything is done right is pretty slim.
Those companies are all in India and China because it would not be legal to sell glasses like that anywhere in North America.
I have checked out the frames at several of those sites, and all the frames are out of date to begin with.
I know that I'm not going to waste time trying to adjust cheap frames that will often be the wrong size to begin with on people who come into my office with them.
all you can do is go to a reputable opticien and pay for their fitting service - i will not reccommend anyone in particular, as even national chains vary in their service from store to store
