Blue or green will change your eye color, yes. You may have to go with the opaque style colored contacts to get a more noticeable effect though. When you go see your eye doctor again, just tell him that you want to try out some samples. That way you'll get a good idea of what colors/styles you do and don't like. Your eye doctor should let you try out as many as you want; I think I tried every color my eye doctor had when I went!

Yes, they do make colored contacts with and without vision power in them. I think every brand that makes colored contacts offers them either way.

Don't get any kind of contacts that aren't the EXACT size you need. Poor-fitting contacts can cause any number of things, including discomfort, eye infections, etc. Not to mention, you probably won't be able to order any other size than the size that is listed on your prescription...

I don't know your BC, but here are some brands that offer the 14.4 DIA:
Expressions by CooperVision- monthly disposables
Expressions Accents by CooperVision- monthly disposables

Those were the only ones I could find on 1800contacts.com showing a 14.4 DIA, but your eye doctor should be able to tell you if there are any other brands that offer 14.4...

i have DARK DARK brown eyes, and i got blue ones once. they worked great! so yah they would work!

don't get colored contacts - they are "oh-so cheesy" my dear

okay my eyes are really dark dark brown and i wore these contacts from acuvue colors. the color was called deep blue i believe and it covered so good that people would ask me constantly if that was my natural eye color and i was like no my eyes are dark brown and they were just amazed. acuvue doesn't have good green contacts, just blue. i would love to try green but i cant find any that i like. i want like a deep green. anyways, i loved those colored contacts and they were two week wear, but i always wore mine longer than that. good luck and have fun with colors :)
oh and ps: without my contacts i couldnt see a THING so yes they are made for people who actually need contacts to see!

Sounds like you have "hazel" eyes not just brown. Green contacts accentuate hazel eyes dramatically. However, contacts are meant to be versatile. You can pick any color you want really. 2nd, yes you mean "prescription" colored contacts and they do make them of course. 3rd, it depends on whether or not you have something called astigmatism that will help determine what brand you will choose. "Acuvue" is one "Frequency" (my brand) is another. Of course pricing will play a role in terms of how much you want to spend. Going with "1800 contacts" allows them to be delivered to your home.

yea your eyes would be fine for colored contacts...my eyes are dark brown and i have dark blue proscription contacts and yea. i dont know about the 14.4 thing but yea....

i have really dark brown and the blue looks good. I use freshlook go to freshlookcontacts.com and check out their color size collection.
