Learn your size. The most important is the nose/bridge size. I wear a 18mm-19mm most of the time.

However, this is not always ultra accurate. Certain styles, such as plastic frames, have a smaller bridge size, but still fit larger sizes well.

Frames that have adjustable nose pads (most metal frames) can be adjusted to fit much better.

Overall, know your bridge (nose) size, as well as temple length (the arms that extend back to your ears). I am a big guy and look for temples that are 135mm+. A more petite person might look for temples that were closer to 125mm.

Most glasses are pretty forgiving in terms of fit--particularly those with adjustable nose bridges. I have ordered off the internet, and with a few quick adjustments, have has very good fits for very little money...!

no. go to the store. u dont know wat could happen if u by them from the internet.

I personally am not a big advocate of purchasing glasses over the internet. What if you have problems with them? What if they don't fit, or you don't like them. How do you know which lenses would work well with what frames and what certain coatings are available and what those coatings do? In my opinion, glasses are just something that I'd rather get from my eye doctor's office. You have no idea who these people are and if they are even qualified to be making glasses in the first place. I guess I'm a little biased because I'm an optician and I help people purchase frames and lenses and do adjustments every day. But I've been doing it for 11 years and I have my ceritfication from the ABO nicely framed and hanging on the wall for everyone to see.

Any hootie...

IF you are going to entrust a bunch of strangers from a website to make your glassed and your not sure how to order the correct size, I would go window shopping for frames locally (which if you're going to have to do that, seems to me that you might as well just buy them there, but that's just me) The optician can help you find the eye size, bridge size, and temple length that will fit you. Then when you order your frames online, you know what size frames you are looking for.

Sorry, I cannot recommend a good site for you because I don't believe there is such an animal.
