Eye slowly swelling shut?Why?!
Question: Well first off,i certainly have no idea what exactly caused this,but i do know for sure it was not a bug bite.About 3 days ago,i felt my upper eyelid on my left eye getting tender & sore.The next day it swelled and it got kinda redish pink.I simply thought i had hid my eye with something in the night and ignored it.Today i woke up and i can barely open my eye,and it hurts to blink,but the skin in normal color(peach).Now,my sister told me that this runs in the family,but i'm not that sure.Still,before i take this to a doctor,can anyone like give a small cure or diagnosis? P.S I also wear contacts but not because i have eye problems,only because i want a diffrent color of eyes if that has any importance in this :]

Stop wearing contacts immediately and put some eye lotion to your eyes for two days . If problem is not solved then rush up to the doctor. All the best.
could be an allergy to something. or could be the start of conjunctivitis, an infection. go see the doc. i have never heard of anything like this running in families. i could be wrong. good luck and hope you feel better.

or did u get hit in da eye while wearin ur contacts??

i had something similar to that, felt lik my eye full of puss. i used hot compresses (fill a clean sock wit rice and put in microwave till pretty warm) and just put on eye as much as u can.
thats wat i did, mite work wit u. pretty sure if it aint serious ur doctor will tell u to use hot compress, and maybe an antibiotic,
