Besides for looking good, why else would contacts be better than glasses?!

Depending on your prescription, you will find that your vision is actually better with contact lenses than with glasses. Glasses are designed to give you the best possible correction when you are looking straight ahead! when you are looking to the side at all, your vision will be worse.
You also lose your peripheral vision with glasses, because you are actually looking past the edges of the glasses. Contacts are better and safer for driving, and for any sports or physical activity.
I wore glasses for years, and when I switched to contacts, I was much happier!
Your vision is better than with glasses, and I think makes your eye muscles work a bit more. . . .

I wear contacts and they help a lot for sports. in football you couldnt wear glasses and glasses could break so tell ur mom that.
If you have any biology classes that require the use of a microscope, contacts are MUCH better than glasses. I convinced my parents my first semester of college to allow me to get contacts when one of my biology professors recommended it. My exam scores of identifying things under a scope went from D's up to 100%'s so they really do work. I am a biology major, and spend a lot of time looking through scopes, and would never go back to the headache of using glasses for my biology labs. Another thing-they are better able to correct you vision with contacts.

its easier on your eyes, you dont have to worry about broken glasses and replacing them, its easier to exchange them if your perscription changes, you cant really lose them, they dont fog up when you go from cold area to a warm area, they dont leave that weird impression on your nose, its easier to excersise in, they come in colors (not sure if that counts but still hah!) much more comfortable and tell your mom that you would feel much more self confident without glasses ect. good luck i hope you get to switch, contacts really are better!

the glasses can pinch your nose.
the sports and the self confidence are good ones.
policemen try not to wear them cuz if they get hit can hurt
your eyes but unless you fight a lot lol :P
you know if you get contacts you need to have glasses too right? your eyes need to rest :)
