Hi I have a question for you. What kind of eye specialist did you see? Optometrist? Opthalmologist? Retinal Specialist? I work as an RN for eye doctors. If you had a hem. in the FRONT of the eye (aka a subconjunctival hemorrhage) from heavy activity the floaters are unrelated. If it was the back of the eye, it should not happen in someone your age but if it did yes floaters are very normal and will take time to dissipate because it is residual blood.Try propping your head up at night with an extra pillow so that the blood gets reabsorbed faster and avoids "pooling" at the head. It simply takes time but do not worry it is definetly a sign of healing. If you notice an increase in floaters however or have floaters accompanied by flashes of light, you need to go back and get checked. If you have floaters however, and your hem was in the front of the eye, they are not related as one deals with the vitreous in the back of the eye and obviously the other is in the front.

Then yes by all means floaters are very very normal especially when dealing with the vitreous collagen and like I said keep your head propped up if it is any residual blood so it doesn't pool, watch for a sudden increase in the floaters, and watch for flashes of light (if you already have them watch for an increase in them or a "curtain" of floaters) Another suggestion: look for a retinal specialist. I work for five of them and any person with a condition that affects the back of the eye (as in the vitreous) is reffered to us from an opthalmologist. But otherwise it sounds like your on the road to recovery.

assuming you saw an opthamologist you should be ok...the floaters are just cells, stuff, etc floating across your cornea...sometimes white cells float across there and you see clear things that seem to float across your eye
