Photosensitivity?!
Question: My husband woke up this morning, and feels burning, and it's red and watery. It seems like he may have gotten something in it, but we checked, and nothing. We tried washing it out with saline flush, but it only worked for a minute. Now, it's developing a sensitivity to light. If he's near a light, it hurts more and waters. He is having trouble keeping it open.
Anyone know why this would happen if he didn't get something in it? Scratch? He thought he's heard the flu can cause this? Any ideas? Thanks!

I would think it is a scratched cornea as well. I had this one time. The only thing you can do is to rest your eyes from your contacts. The eye will heal itself. Have the doctor check it out.
get him to an eye doctor ASAP before he loses his eye
Not the flu. Best to have the eye doc check it out. Scratched corneas feel like this. I had one.
