I think I have eye "floaters". I noticed it when I looked at the blue!

Question:

I think I have eye "floaters". I noticed it when I looked at the blue sky out of an airplane window

I only see them if I look at the sky or squint at a bright light. Can you tell me what they look like for you. Mine look like iPod scratches. Whenever I look at them, they move either upward or downward. Sometimes, they even move left and right in conjuction with moving up and down. Am I diagnosing my condition correctly or do I have something else. I am currently very busy and plan to see an eye doctor within a month.

Answers:

HOLD UP! You do not have any problem at all. These floaters that you see are miniscule pieces of a vein that used to be inside of your eyes. This was used while you were still a fetus(Unborn child) They helped to bring blood to your eyes and develop them., After you were born and fully developed, they were no longer needed so they deteriorated, these pieces still float around in your eye, but are nearly invisible, you cna only see them when you look at bright light or squint. It's not a problem you will have them for the rest of your life, most people do including me, it 's ust some people don't take the time to notice.
