I am cross-eyed. Can it be corrected??How???!
Question:
I am cross-eyed. Can it be corrected??How???
I have been wearing eye glasses for the past 8 or 9 years. I am a -2.5. My eyes were pretty normal for the first few years. but now people tell me that i am cross-eyed. And to add to my frustration, i am a lecturer in a college and I constantly see my students getting confused on who I am looking at. I also noticed that my right eye feels quite heavy and feels itchy after wearing my glasses for a couple of hours. Can this be corrected???? and how??? and how much will it cost me???
Answers:
go see an ophthalmologist who specializes in strabismis(misaligned eyes) they will do a full dilated exam and determine if you can have what is called a prism places into your glasses prescription to correct the crossing, or you may have to have eye muscle surgery and this will correct the problem if the doctor finds that all other steps have been taken to correct the problem. my husband had the surgery a few years ago and he is perfect today no crossing or double vision and it is a relatively simpple procedure
