Glasses and Contacts?!

Question:

Glasses and Contacts?

A few questions.

I have scratches on my glasses, but other than that they're fine and my vision is okay. Can I get the stratches buffed out? I heard I could.

I need to get more contacts, but this time ones for astigmatism, do I have to get my eyes checked again, it's been a little less than a year when I got the last ones.

Can wearing glasses consistantly make your vision worse? The more often I wear mine, the worse my vision is when I take them off. I didn't wear them at all for a year (I've had glasses since 2nd grade.) in middle school and my vision was way better. Did it just seem like it was better, but my eyes were just used to seeing things unclearly?

What types of contacts can I get, I had the monthly ones, what are the others? Which are best to choose?

Thanks.

Oh, and how much do contacts usually costs & do some costs less than others? I can't remember.

Answers:

You can get them buffed out at the place you got your glasses. Most likely, they will do it for free.

I think if you have to change the kind of contacts you get (to ones for astigmatism) you'll have to get your dr.'s referal.

I've heard that glasses can make your eyes worse (although I don't know if it's true), but not wearing them won't make them better (and that is definitely true).
