Question:

What happens when the pupil of your eye gets pinched during sergurey?

I had cateract surgury and the Dr. said he had pinched the pupil of my eye.I had crystal lens inplanted in my eyes. The Dr. said it would not bother me but it does I have a blurry spot in front of my eye that he pinched I don't feel like he is being honest with me please let me know your opinion.

Answers:

There are several things post-operatively that can cause blurred vision. Strictly speaking, a "pinched pupil" may or may not cause blurring of vision.

If your physician was not being honest with you, then he could have not mentioned anything at all.

If you trusted him enough to allow him to operate on your eye, then at least allow him the benefit of the doubt that he is being honest.

If you have lost all trust for your physician, then I would suggest that you go to another ophthalmologist for a second opinion.
