Is it necessary to get scratch resistance on plastic lens eye glasses?!
Question:
Is it necessary to get scratch resistance on plastic lens eye glasses?
Answers:
Shae actually gave you a good answer, but I wouldn't say it was bullpucky to get scratch coat. After all, you would normally get a year's warranty against scratching with a one time replacement.
There are some good anti-reflective coatings that will give a 2 year guarantee.
Are either necessary, no. For anti-reflective, if you have trouble seeing at night, eyes get tired due to reflections from overhead lights, have macular degeneration or glaucoma, I would say it was definitely worth it.
