Does anyone have a 'prism' in their eyes?!

Question:

Does anyone have a 'prism' in their eyes?

I've got reading glasses to correct this and everything looks 3D. I hope this is ok.

Answers:

NO....prism is placed in glasses prescriptions to alter the location of an image. For example, if your eyes don't line up appropriately, you'll have double vision. Prism is used to shift the images so that they'll line up and you'll see a single image. Your depth perception will be altered by the prism and the greater the prism, the greater the alteration, i.e., if you were to reach for something you may grasp the air adjacent to the object as your brain perceives the distance to be different than it actually is. Typically, you will acclimate to this. If it is still bothersome after a week, talk to your eye doctor.
