Have you had trouble getting contacts in your first time?!

Question:

Have you had trouble getting contacts in your first time?

I am feeling like such a failure right now and am wondering if others out there have also had a lot of trouble getting contacts in and out...it would make me feel like less of a failure...also, if you've got any advice...thanks in advance :)

Answers:

Honey your not a failure at all! Do you know for like a week I had to get my gf to put mine in and take them out. (yes she washed her hands lol)

here is my little tip! This is the ONLY way I can do it and have it work the first or second time.

~pull them out of the case and make sure it's curved the right way, then wipe off the thumb and index finger the contact is going to be placed on. Use your left index finger and left middle finger and pry your eye open. Look up to as far as you can but while still being able to see the contact raised up to your eye. Then "drop" the end of the contact down into the bottom eye lid. Slowly close your eye as you push the contact up against your eye. Then slowly open your eye to make sure it's not bent.

Remember, dry sticks to dry and wet sticks to wet. If your fingers are wet then your contact will stick to it and it won't attach to your eye. You may need to apply a drop or two of refresh tears in your eyes.

To be honest, lol, I've actually cussed and thrown my contact case because they can be such a freakin pain in the a88 lol.

Once I slowed down and paid attention to what I was doing, I haven't had any problems since!
