Question: What can I do to make them hurt less?
I started working out a couple of days ago after taking a break from working out because of my shin splints. Those healed and that's not the problem. My hamstrings and calves ache like you wouldn't believe. I can't climb stairs and I can barely walk. What can I do to dull the pain until they finally calm down? I have to start again Monday. My schedule for working out is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. It's a normal work out with warming up, actual work out, and cooling down.
I've iced it, I've taken pain killers, and I've taken hot showers. What else can I do? Or is that all I can do?

Google a product called "deep heat/raljex" they are products that when sprayed/rubbed on use heat for the relief of muscle pain. If you have a bath take a long soak in a warm (not hot) bath with some salt.
