Arthroscopy of the Knee?!

Question:

Arthroscopy of the Knee?

Orange fluid coming out of incision, what is it?

Answers:

I don't think it is purely synovial fluid. Synovial fluid ranges from transparent clear to straw to pale yellow at the darkest. This might be the irrigation used to wash the inside of the joint, either mixed with antibiotics, betadine, or maybe bleeding.

To me it does not sound normal for you to be leaking after an arthroscopy. I would call your Ortho doc right away and ask him. You don't want to set up an infection. If he/she says this is normal and to be expected in your case, at least then you will have some peace of mind.
