Question:
Does Anybody Know How Quickly A Scaphiod Bone Should Be Treated If Damaged?
Answers:
Most definitely immediately...most scapoid fractures dont appear on radiographs (x-rays) but rather are usually diagnosed based on tenderness in the wrist by where the thumb is (known as the snuff box) in combination with a positive bone scan. If not treated ASAP the bone can die and you will have to have an artificial one put in via surgery.
