Painful migraine, eye protruding?!

Question:

Painful migraine, eye protruding?

I woke up one day with a painful migraine on the left side of my head and my left eye was protruding. It was painful for three weeks. I had to take pain killers the whole time. What might that be?

Answers:

Well in my opinion most of the answers here pointed to the correct procedure when a condition as you described was presented.
Possibly the Migraine you experienced was as a result of pressure behind the eye itself. There can be many reasons for this and none of them good ( especially if it is still swollen or protruding as you say). make an appointment with an optician to have your eyes checked. If there is a problem it can be seen via the fluoroscope that all opticians have. Few drops in the eye to stain it and then he can see what is going on and make recommendations for follow up.
