I was in a surgery center not that long ago and I overheard a Doctor telling his patient (that was about to get circumcised at age 20) that he would be in a fair amount of pain for at least two weeks. It sounded like most activities would be very limited for those two weeks as well. But, it really sounded like there was a very, very good chance that the recovery could last longer than two weeks. But don't worry about the pain. Your Doctor should give you enough pain medication to get you through recovery.
And... I think that you should call your Doctor if you have questions about what will happen after the procedure. Or, if you can't get a hold of him before, write your questions down and ask him before you get anesthetized.
