Sometimes my ankle turns in...?!

Question:

Sometimes my ankle turns in...?

My father and I both have a herniated (knocked out of alignment) disc. Sometimes when I'm walking, my ankle will suddenly "give out" causing my foot to turn in so that I'm stepping on the side of my foot and not the sole. It really hurts. My Dad said it happens to him too.

Is it because of our herniated disc? What can I do to make it better?

Answers:

start working it out... do you run?

ankle problems unfortunately are prone to more ankle problems, so all you can do is be careful walking, or toughen it up and start running, walking, sprinting, work out your calves, do shin and ankle stretches...

the longer you go without turning it in, the stronger it gets.
