Low Blood Sugar Level?!
Question:
Low Blood Sugar Level?
When I don't eat, I get a bad headache. When I eat, my headache will go away.
Answers:
Yes, that's a bloodsugar thing. People often get headaches or feel faint when their bloodsugar gets low. It can happen to anyone if they haven't eaten in a long time; or, for others, it's an ongoing problem called hypoglycemia.
I would recommend that you make sure you get regular, balanced, healthy meals. Sometimes overindulging in sugar can mess up your bloodsugar levels and cause them to become unstable... soooo, if you're one of those people who drinks tons of soda or snacks on a lot of sugary things, you might want to back off of that for a while. Also, sipping on water in between meals can keep your bloodsugar balanced. Water is a wonderful, wonderful cure-all for the body... if you are ever feeling weak and can't get food for a while, drink some water and it will temporarily raise your bloodsugar. My aunt, who has severe hypoglycemia, has kept herself from passing out before just by drinking water until she could get some food.
If your symptoms persist or worsen and making changes to your diet doesn't take care of it, definitely see your doctor. He can give you a sugar test to see what's going on and recommend something to take care of the symptoms long term.
Good luck!
