Do I need crutches with my walking cast?!
Question: Do I need crutches with my walking cast?
I got surgery to fix my bunion and my arch, and they broke my metatarsal bone in 2 places and put a brace around it and then part of my cuneiform has part of donated hip bone wedged in it.
And I got tissue in the bottom of my foot cut with dissolvable stitches to loosen or lower my arch.
And I've been in my cast for 4 weeks, and I'll be getting in a walking cast in 2 weeks and I'll be on it for a month. Does anyone know if I'm gonna have to use crutches while I'm starting to walk again?
It'll be the fiberglass cast with a shoe thing on the bottom, not the big black boot.

you may have to use crutches to help you walk the first couple days or maybe just one crutch but after time you should be able to wlk with no help.
