Here are things that can work:

Relaxation exercises before bed
Exercise throughout the day
Stay away from Caffeine after 2pm (coke, chocolate, coffee)
Stay off the computer up to 2 hours before bed (they found
your mind still processes information for hours after turning
off your computer and this interrupts sleep)
Try mediation (calms the mind)
Spray your sheets with Lavender Scent
Drink Chamomile tea or Sienna Tea
Keep your room Very Cool (heat is bad for sleep)
Dont eat up to 4 hours before bedtime
Melotonin (natural supplement, if it is low in your system you
can not sleep, try it)
Natural diet (eat more fruits and veggies)
Take Vitamins
Take Valerian Root herb

Now if all else fails do like I did and buy "Sleep MD". These are natural pills sold in drugstores like Walgreens that help you go to sleep. You must take them while in bed for them to work properly. You have a 5 minute time range to fall asleep and if you miss it then it will not work. This was the only thing that worked for me since my hormones were messed up. Try it and have a goods night sleep.
