Did they give you instructions about what is normal and what isn't? They have all 3 times I have had surgery. Also, if you don't want to call 911 call the hospital operator and ask if they have a general nurses line. The hospital I work at does. It has a ton of nurses there and they can answer most questions. If they can't they connect you to the doctor or resident on the service line that did the surgery. By the way that line is open 24 hours and there is a doctor on call 24 hours to answer questions too. If it's something simple they will tell you or if not they will have you come in.
Exactly. If you're that worried and can't get through to medical advice, then call 911. They cannot fault you for concern, and cannot legally refuse to come get her. Depending on insurance she has it may not be cheap, but there is no amount of money in the world worth making sure she's ok, right? (in other words, who cares how much it might cost as long as you know she's ok)
If it's serious call 911. This isn't for emergencies an ambulance is. Better to be safe then sorry.
