Do opiate ussers die younger?!

Question: Do opiate ussers die younger?
I know some drugs lower life expectancy, but if someone was to use opiates daily and have no adverse effects from them would they die younger? I've tried looking on the internet but have found no evidence in a opiate user dying younger as a result of using them, only of people dying from a overdose etc.

Answers:

ive been on opiates for over 12 years (lortab, percocet) due to several back operations, and so far im still doing great, i believe like you said, the only way to shorten your life from opiates is to overdose, because if the drug was life threatening a dr wouldn't or shouldn't prescribe it.im not sure if you should quote me on that, so to play it safe ask a nurse or dr.
the only thing from taking lortabs is it has awhole lot of tylenol in it. so never abuse any kind of pain medication.

Opiate users have a higher incidence of accidental death than the general population.

Im sure its not good!
