Does anyone have previous experience with taking lortab 10mg and/or Soma while p!

Question: Does anyone have previous experience with taking lortab 10mg and/or Soma while pregnant?
I have been on Soma and Lortab for 4 years due to c-spine surgery and arthroscopic shoulder surgery. My pain is actually worse now then before the surgeries and I have now also been diagnosed with bursitis; that's why there is a continuous of taking the medications. Well, I just found out that I am pregnant and am concerned that my taking the medications for this length of time may harm the baby. In addition, I tried to quit cold turkey on taking them and haven't slept in 3 days and am in such excruciating pain, that unfortunately, there is a side of me that is unsure if I will be able to handle my chronic pain through a full pregnancy. My husband and I were thrilled when we found out that I was pregnant but have many concerns between the health of the baby and myself. I have been doing research online and have found hundreds of forums/blogs about both medications that I take but of course, there are mixed comments about the safety of my issues on all forums. Since the medications have been in my system, would it be safe to take the medications, when needed to assist with any type of chronic pain that I am in?

I have made a Dr. appointment for tomorrow (being 2/17/10) with my regular caring physician of 22+ years but have been in tears from not taking anything for a few days and was hoping to find out if there are mothers that may have experienced something like this that can share their stories with me.

Congrats Mommy!
Like you I have back issues and was on the same meds during parts of my last pregnancy. My son is fine and healthy.
There is no need to worry today, see the doctor and them discuss the risks. I know its very common for women to be given lortab during pregnancy but I'm not sure if that includes the 1st trimester.
I took lots less medication and only when I couldn't deal with the pain.
You need to take your medication right now and rest. What you take today will not effect what the doctor says tomorrow.
Best of luck.
