It depends, if you work shifts and you have to sleep in the day or you just fancy taking a nap then your body will recognise this and start forming a sleeping pattern. However napping during the day can affect how you sleep at night ie: you may become restless or find it more difficult to go to sleep. Either way your body will form a sleeping pattern, once it has done this it's probably best not to disturb it otherwise your body won't know whether it's coming or going. If you fancy taking a nap during the day but then find you struggle to get to sleep at night try taking a long relaxing bath a few hours before you go to bed or try herbal remedies such as night nurse ect defo no coffee or caffine as this can make it worse.
