Growing Pains hurt this much?!

I have what feels like really horrible growing pains. They happen frequently and usually at night. Mostly in my knees, shoulders, wrists and elbows. They hurt a lot more than I remember growing pains hurting from when I was younger. I'm 17 and I want to make sure it's just growing pains.
