Why will my bruise not heal?!
Question: Why will my bruise not heal!?
Five months ago, I slipped in the shower and hit my shin!. I got a bump and a huge black and blue mark!. The black and blue mark went away fairly quickly, but now, five months later, I still have a tender, raised lump where I hit my shin, and it's slightly discolored!. What's going on!? Why hasn't it gone away!? Why is it still tender!? I'm 40!. I don't have diabetes or anything like that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i think shins just take a really long time to heal!. about 5 years ago i hit my left shin on exercise equipment and i have a dent in it, and i just hit my right shin a month ago and its still bruised and swollen!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
your probably anemic which means you don't get enough iron in your blood, its the most common vitamin deficiency and it makes it so your bruises don't heal very quickly and you bruise easier!.
also shins just take forever to heal for some reason just like the top of your feet, I think its because your bone is sooo close to the skin that blood flow is extremely slow compared to say your bicepWww@Answer-Health@Com

Are you icing it!? Do you have thin blood!? Are you anemic!?
If you feel weak or tired a lot you should get checked for anemia!. That can also cause bruising to not heal, or to bruise easily!.

If you're not a diabetic or borderline diabetic : you have an infection and need some antibiotics!. Gone to the doctor and get it over with!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
