I really wish I believed that it would, however I suspect the only people it affects is non- or ex-smokers, who can't understand why it doesn't!. Most smokers like any other drug addict are just far too hooked!.

My gym has a magic set of anti-smoking posters up at present, clever and eye-catching but only the non-smokers pay any attention to them!. Smokers suddenly develop a blind spot!.

A very good female friend of mine used to buy those cigarettes that just sort of managed to avoid duty!. Among these was a much sort after brand!. They were called 'Death' and were in a black packet with a gold skull and cross bones on the front!. Smokers couldn't get enough of them!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It isn't a "UK government" tactic!. They are already doing it in other EU nations, cigarette warnings are largely in the scope of the EU now!.

I am sure it will convince someone to quit!. Saving lives has to be worthwhile!. I just fear some of us are becoming unshockable because of excessive use of shock tactics!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

tobacco company puts shocking pictures on packets!.!.I pay money for the cigarettes I'm addicted to!.!.I see picture!.!.even discuss it with others!.!. I get anxious!.!. it's all bad bad stuff!.!.!.!.I mistake feeling anxious with needing a cig!.!.!.I light up!.!.!.!.think that I feel better for it!.!.!.then see picture again!!!.!.!.Im now smoking,but still feel anxious about why!?!?!?
Surely, anyone would see pic!.and immediately stop!?!.!.!.!.now I feel anxious again!.!.!.why cant I just stop there and then!?!?!?!.!.!.now I feel inferior, I !? I live in a country that has been doing it for a few years!.
One picture shows a skeleton smoking - it became cool!.
Another shows a child coughing with parents smoking in the background - this is a good reminder and guilty picture for parents!.
Another shows a swollen ankle - informative!.
Yet another shows a young women smoking next to a mirror with the aged version reflected - probably will keep young girls from starting!.
Overall it has no effect on the long term smokers, and probably no effect on the young rebels!. But I'm sure it keeps a fair percentage of the 'peer-pressured-curious' from becoming long term smokers!. So every bit helps!.
Incidentally, I smoke when I drink!. About a pack once a week!. I like it, but I also like the idea of cigarrette-tax and anti-smoking campaigns!. As long as they don't take away my free choice!. The tax here is more than enough to cover medical, in fact it should pay for more than smokers!. Governments being what they are though, it doesn't!.

probably not, most people who smoke know about all the dangers, and all it will do ironically, is make them smoke more with worry about the fact they are going to die!. smoke all you like, as long as i dont have to breath in the vileness of it!Www@Answer-Health@Com
