What is a good pain killer for people with major pain?!

Question: What is a good pain killer for people with major pain!?
Answers:
Well, its hard to answer such a vague question!. It would be better to know what kind of pain and how long you have had it!. Evidently you have not been seen by a doctor so you must be asking for over the counter drug info!.
In general I prefer Aleve, it is great for achy muscles or joints, works okay for a minor tooth ache, but you said major pain and I don't consider that major!.
Narcotic Pain relief medications which have to be prescribed by a doctor include!. Hydrocodone, Hydrocodiene, Tramadol or Ultram, Oxycontin, Oxycodone, Methadone, Morphine,Dilaudid just to name a few!.
All are good at relieving pain and are also VERY ADDICTIVE and should never be taken without supervision!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It really depends on what type of pain you are having!. (Migraines, back pain, tmj disorder, etc!.) See your doctor to have tests done to see what is going on!. I have many different issues and take different meds for each one!. I take Fiorecet for my migraines (non-narcotic)!. I take Hydrocodone 10/325 for my back and my TMJ disorder!. I have also been prescribed Percocet for my TMJ!. It all depends on what is going on!. You may also need to have a muscle relaxer perscribed for your condition as well as take an anti inflammatory drug like Ibuprophen (advil)!. If you have a severe condition that warrants a narcotic pain medication, then Hydrocodone is a good med to take for pain, but is very addictive so you have to be careful!. When you combine it with advil it will help you a lot!. Your doctor has to look at what you have going on and then he/she will let you know what they think will work best for that particular pain!. If you want to use over the counter pain meds, then try Advil for sure!. Take 800mg with food and you can repeat every 8 hours!. But don't take it for too long!. You can also use those IcyHot patches!. I cut them into the sizes I need and stick them all over! Give us some additional info about your condition and where you are having pain and I am sure we can help you a little better!. If you are in severe pain and think something is wrong, I would go to the ER!. They will give you something right away to help you feel more comfortable!. I have had to do that for persistent migraines many times!. I hope you feel better and that you can get in to see your doctor asap!Www@Answer-Health@Com
