Question: I have a broken clavicle ,snapped in two how long will it take to fuse!?
It was broken 7 weeks ago; for the first 6 weeks the doctors advised keeping it immobolised then that I move it as much as possible 2 weeks ago; My question and concern is, how will the bone fuse if it is not immobolised or if it can fuse how long wil lit take!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think it starts fusing immediately and it younger folks it takes less time to completely heal!.
This is why a broken hip is such a terrible thing for an older person - it takes the bones longer to (heal) and in the same time the person becomes immobile!. Imagine learning to walk again when you are 80!.

Bones take 6 weeks to unite in a healthy person, if not immobilized the ends of the bone may unite in a different position ie:slightly apart!.
